Roughout Ranch empowers youth and adults through mentoring programs that combine ranching skills and experiences with compassionate, age-appropriate guidance from a trained mentor.
Roughout Ranch Foundation’s mentoring program pairs at-risk children and young adults, children and young adults with disabilities, and others facing serious life challenges (including addiction recovery, life after incarceration, etc.) with trained mentors who work with mentees to develop confidence, build positive interpersonal relationships, and inspire a sense of self-worth. Mentors and mentees will participate in age-appropriate and ability-appropriate ranch activities that are designed to challenge them and broaden horizons, engaging with experiences that may be outside of their normal routines. Whenever possible, mentors and mentees will engage in Roughout Ranch Foundation’s equine-assisted therapies and activities for additional benefits.
